Last month I was lucky enough to have two road trips in one week so my adventures took me South to Bend Oregon with my hubby and then I popped into the car again with Gavin and headed north to Vancouver, Canada.
Edible raw cookie dough with all the yumminess and none of the risk! Get your fat pants ready…
This gravy tastes just like the gravy you eat at thanksgiving on your turkey. Join me in my happy place and make some of this good stuff!
Tiny flowers touch my heart the most. We pass them by and may not pay attention to them like we do the stately peonies and roses, but these tiny flowers display their magnificent beauty whether we see them or not. They are the center of their own universe and stand proud without any regard for the attention they do or do not receive.
Choosing an era as a theme for a party is a great idea. Not only is it fun doing research and learning about…
It doesn’t get any more beautiful than spring in the garden in the Pacific Northwest. From the Flower Festivals to dogs playing on the grass to cherry blossoms and all the tiny new growth everywhere you look. The earth is reborn. Duck pairs swimming in the pond waiting for the ducklings to hatch, hummingbirds finding their nectar in the best flowers and deer showing off their tiny fawns. Then, eventually, there are the baby ducklings waddling behind momma duck and tiny squirrels coming to the feeder to learn to beg for peanuts. It’s pure magic!
Empty nesting has it’s challenges. Losing our parents is a big one. There’s no easy way to get through this life changing event that we all face, eventually. Looking back on this day for me, I realize that it was perfect.
A new Spring tradition for my family is attending the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR.
When I started writing, I really didn’t know if anyone would read it. Once I took the leap of faith and put my time, love and energy into it and released it out there into the big world, I didn’t know who my audience would be.
When I was in elementary school, I recited an Easter poem for a speech contest. To this day, I can recite that poem, word for word. I vividly remember the old book it was written in and the beautiful picture of Easter Bunny Land that I would stare at for hours. As a little one, I would imagine visiting this place, “of great renown”. It was magical for me as a child so I’m sharing it with you. Maybe you have a little one you’d like to share this with.
